It was a rainy day, even for Seattle, so we put on our rain jackets and boots and headed for the Pacific Science Center.
We decided to see an IMAX 3D movie, The Flight of the Butterflies.
But we had some time to kill before it began, so we explored one section of the museum, where we learned about gravity, friction and music.
Through the window we could see the Space Needle!
After the movie (it was fantastic, but no photos allowed in the theater – sorry!), we slowly made our way over to see the real butterflies, with only a couple distractions along the way.
Once inside the butterfly house, the girls picked up their guides so that Mommy had a chance to practice her Latin. (No, I don’t speak Latin. Does anyone?)
My girls would have been happy to stay there all day, but after a brief detour for cookies, this mama had to drag them home.
